Learners on motorways

Learner drivers will be allowed to take motorway driving lessons with an approved driving instructor in a car with dual controls from 2018.

How do you feel about this? I am sure most driving instructors if not all will only take a learner on the motorway once they have reached a certain level of competence and done plenty of practice on dual carriageways before hand but the bug question is "how will the general public, the haulage industry and many others react to an 'L' plate as they cruise down the overtaking lane?"
